Liz is a very devoted nurse who cares for her patients tremendously. She is relentless and goes the extra mile. While being in Liz’s care, if there wasn’t something that she couldn’t do, she would already have informed nurse interns to support me with everything I needed. For example, clean sheets, support with the walker to get to the bathroom, clean clothing, and body wipes. Liz loves to teach and make sure the nurse interns know to always check on their patients. Liz supported me with my wound care. She took the time to moisturize my skin and paid extra attention to the blisters that were popping out of my skin. She never scorned me, no matter how uncanny they looked. Through Liz’s support, my stay on the unit was extremely comfortable.

Liz is also very attentive. She was always honest with me. This touched my heart. She said, "You know E getting back on meds means that you will be leaving soon. However, your healing process once home will be different from HMH. You are a mom, and your son needs you. You must fight back with your health to stay strong." I honestly appreciated those warm words. Another example was my husband stopped by quickly to drop off some items for me on a Saturday. He had to bring my 5 year old son. I was suddenly informed that my son could not come to the unit. I was very emotional and it was a rough day dealing with nausea. Staff first brought up my items and then Liz called down that the staff would come pick them up from the main entrance. My husband and son were able to stand in front of my door so that I could say hello to them and air hug them. I was so grateful for this because I needed this visit. This shows how Liz is a Nurse/Woman of her word; she is relentless.

I am grateful for the team Liz had to support me during this medical trauma I experienced unexpectedly.
