I want to commend Tina Hornung because she was so exceptional in the care of my 92-year-old mom. She was so compassionate and truly cared about making mom as comfortable as possible while fighting two different infections and a broken pelvis. Tina treated her as if she was her own mom, so upbeat and attuned to her needs, encouraging her to eat and calling the doctor for stronger pain meds when she truly needed them. I wasn't sure if I was going to lose my mom and she was so comforting to me and sat with me as the tears flowed. Her talks made me feel so much better, enabling me to be there for my mom and hold it together during this stressful time. Her smiles and hugs were what I needed when I was in such a terrible state of worry. I could actually feel good about leaving my mom's side to get something to eat because I knew Tina would take such phenomenal care of her. When her blood test revealed what was going on, Tina called the doctor immediately to order appropriate treatment. She is by far the best I've ever encountered and wanted to thank her for her empathy and advocating for my mom. Tina deserves to be honored for the loving care she exhibited every day towards my mom. My family feels very fortunate and blessed to have Tina involved in getting mom on her way to recovery.
