I will never forget the compassion she showed me when my father passed during the program & being a huge support that guaranteed my completion. I could not have made it through without her.
Jessica Larson is a valuable faculty member to Highland. Without her, I do not think I would have been successful in the program. Nursing School is hard. Having a mentor to go to is so valuable. She does an excellent job explaining all the material in class, and can thoroughly answer any & all follow up questions. She ensures all clinical & simulation labs correspond to the material to the best of her abilities to help those who are better hands-on learners understand the material clearly up to the test. She is current on evidence-based practice and brings that portion into the classroom. She pushes me to be the best I can be, which has set me up for success post-graduation. She continuously makes herself available to not only myself but to all students. I will never forget the compassion she showed me when my father passed during the program & being a huge support that guaranteed my completion. I could not have made it through without her. And for that, I will forever be thankful, as well as my future patients under my care will appreciate all that she has done.

Jessica has always been very encouraging and supportive of me. When I was struggling, she was understanding and listened to my concerns. She stood by my decisions when I decided to take a break but was encouraging if I decided not to. She told me that I would be successful in the program if I worked hard because she knew I could do it!
