Chassidy Boyd was nominated after she helped a visitor that came into the Rehab hospital one night following a sleep study person at around 9 pm. The visitor was very upset and scared and said she didn't want to live anymore. The visitor reported she had been raped and had already tried to seek help at a local ED and was discharged. The visitor reported she had walked to the Rehab Hospital after discharge. The visitor had paperwork in her hand from the police and the ER in her hand. Chassidy took the time and called the House Supervisor to receive guidance as to what to do. She stayed with the visitor and they called Comcare together and the visitor spoke with them and Comcare sent an Uber for her when it was deemed appropriate for her care. I feel that Chassidy did truly display our mission and values of Ascension helping this young lady.
