I am nominating Brittany because she has been the best leader I have ever worked with. She is a great active listener and is quick to solve problems that arise. She always checks in on us, and I know I can rely on her at any time of the day. She truly deserves this Award!

- She’s been an amazing mentor and resource for her staff.
- Brittany came as a traveling nurse and developed a warm and responsible relationship with PACU and OPS. When R left as surgical services director, Brittany readily stepped into that role and always gave a warm greeting to all staff members each day. The job was difficult, but she was always fair and pleasant when dealing with the difficult issues, different personalities, and constant needs of the multiple staff.
- She always goes above and beyond. She makes sure the staff's voices are heard. She always expresses warmth, friendliness, and kindness to everyone she interacts with.
- Brittany Derouen is very good at making sure all our patients are taken care of every day. She listens to her staff and does her best to get them the tools they need to do everyday tasks and take care of our patients. Brittany deserves this Award for excellent work in and out of the work area.
- Brittany has been a great leader for the PACU team and me! She's approachable, committed to helping the staff, and advocates for us in all ways. I am very happy to be under such a prodigious leader.

- Brittany Derouen is an excellent leader in outpatient services, pacu, and endo. She listens to her staff, cares for our patients, and goes above and beyond to get things done in our unit. Brittany keeps her staff notified about any changes and checks on any needs her staff might need. Brittany communicates very well with all staff and other leaders. Brittany is a joy to work with, and I am very happy to be on her team.
- Brittany has been a breath of fresh air to the department since she came on as travel interim manager for PACU. She takes the time to talk with us on a personal level and hear our suggestions for the department. We are grateful to have her.
- Although I am new(ish) to this team, Brittany has done a good job of making sure I feel supported. She has also made sure that I know I can come to her with any issue or event that comes up.
- She promotes teamwork by only hiring team players, and this is what has made our team so strong. She listens to us and follows through. She always tries to accommodate our requests and allows us to offer suggestions for problems.
- She listens and gets things done when we need them. We are blessed to have such a strong, caring Director.
- Brittany consistently puts her team first. Her door is always open, and she is someone we look up to and can lean on. She makes sure each team member doesn't feel like just an employee but a family. She leads us with strength and compassion. We are lucky to have her!
- Brittney is the best manager I've ever worked with. Her open-door policy is so welcoming. I never feel like I can't come with her for an issue. She takes care of her team, always having our back, but she also shows us tough love when she has to, making us a stronger team.
