Mim is such a wonderful and amazing person, friend, and nurse.
I would like to nominate Mim Sommerfield from Endo for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mim began working at RRMC in 1989 and just celebrated 35 years of service. She has consistently prioritized patient care above all else, demonstrating a deep commitment to the well-being and comfort of her patients. Her dedication to putting patients first is a testament to her professionalism and compassion. She has been here throughout many changes in Endo and has consistently remained our “rock” of the department, providing stability, support, and leadership to her colleagues. Although she is technically PRN, Mim frequently picks up shifts in Endo as well as on-call shifts to help out her team. She even picks up shifts in OPS to help them on busy days! Mim always comes in with a smile on her face, and her positivity spreads throughout the department. She is truly an asset to our team, and we are extremely fortunate to have her as part of our team!

Mim is such a wonderful and amazing person, friend, and nurse. I have known her for over six years at RRMC, and she is such a pleasure to work with. I went to her 70th birthday party several years ago, and I admire her and her family. She adopted two beautiful daughters from South America, and her daughters love her and appreciate Mim and her husband very much. She is very friendly and competent. She has trained so many employees here at RRMC! I respect and marvel at Mim’s work ethic and skills. She was still pushing a patient bed down the hallway all by herself at over 70 years old! Mim is a marvel and should be esteemed! Thank you, Mim, for all that you do!
Mim is so helpful! We appreciate every time she comes in to assist OPS on busy mornings.
I'm also just personally impressed by her resilience and commitment to RRMC. She's seen this hospital grow over the years and knows so much!
