I am a student placed to work with Amber Bjorklund during my clinical rotations. Amber was the absolute sweetest nurse I think I have ever met. You can truly tell that she cares about all the patients that she works with. She was constantly checking in with them asking how they were doing and if she could get them anything. Amber was also always asking her other coworkers how they were and if they needed any help with anything. She took the time to show me how the charting system works, the proper way to pass medications from the Omnicell, and the proper way to do a head-to-toe assessment on patients. I have been assigned to work with a nurse on other floors for clinical, but she is the first one that truly took the time to show me different things like the programming of the IV polls, medication administration, how to flush an IV, how to admit a patient to the floor, how to discharge a patient from the floor, etc. Amber did all of that with the biggest smile on her face. She was always willing to answer any questions that I had. Amber is the nurse that I aspire to be when I graduate.
