She is an advocate for her patients, going above and beyond to ensure they get the care and attention they deserve.
Anahit demonstrates an unwavering commitment to her peers' academic success, always willing to lend a hand or offer advice. Her passion went beyond her own cohort, as she volunteered her time to tutor students from various classes, making sure no one was left behind. She also carried the same sense of selflessness and empathy to her profession as a phlebotomist.
Anahit is not just a caring classmate, but also a considerate coworker. I met Anahit when training her as a phlebotomist, and we discovered that we attended the same school and are in the same cohort. I've directly witnessed Anahit's compassion and advocacy for her patients. One memory I have of her is when she started a conversation with a patient who was concerned about having his blood drawn. She cracked a joke to relieve the stress, and the patient trusted her to do the draw.
She is also an advocate for her patients, going above and beyond to ensure they get the care and attention they deserve. When the same patient raised concerns about his treatment plan, Anahit took the initiative to connect with the medical team and advocate for changes that better met his needs such as when the patient voiced out his concerns of syncopizing during the draw. Anahit then offered to place the patient in an empty bed so the patient could lie down during the draw.
Her exceptional interpersonal skills and natural ability to establish trust and respect were observed by her classmates as well as the patients at the hospital where we work. They frequently turned to her for advice, encouraged by her relentless dedication to compassionate care.
