Sacramento has a leader who has inspired many of us to become better leaders.  Linzy Davenport is that leader!  We love to use acronyms, so when you hear LINZY, this is what it means: 

L – Leader.  Linzy you are the ultimate leader.  You know what to say, how to laugh, how to cry, and how to challenge others.  You are the type of leader to inspire others to run through a brick wall, dress up in silly costumes, all of which is focused on providing the best care for our members and for our staff.   

I – Inspirational. Linzy inspires others to become something better and gives leaders confidence to succeed and to overcome challenges.  Linzy has lit many of our candles that have now turned into a blaze of confidence, passion, a desire to become better, to challenge ourselves, and to help other leaders grow.  This girl is on fire!  

N—NURSE. Linzy, you are the perfect nurse! You promote the care of everyone by protecting, promoting, and preventing harm, focusing on healing, and utilizing compassion to alleviate suffering. You also use humor to brighten everyone’s day.  

Z – Zeal. Linzy, you are willing, energized, and motivated.  You are unmatched with excitement, interest, and enthusiasm for nursing and for leadership.  You always see the way through with positivity and accountability.  After all, you are the closer!     

Y – Yourself, authentic.  Linzy you are true to yourself.  You are trustworthy, you have integrity, and you are responsible.  You take on challenges or pressures and make the most out of them to become more resilient and stronger.  

Sacramento is lucky to have not only a nurse but also a leader who embodies everything a leader should be.  Linzy, through your efforts, countless patients have improved outcomes because you have led teams to become more than they thought they could.  You are a true DAISY Nurse Leader.
