Amy has been actively participating in the Illinois chapter of the cardiopulmonary rehab professionals board for the last 6 months in order to network with other leaders in this field so that at Riverside, we can continue to improve on patient care and stay up to date with evidence-based practice.
Amy is by far one of the best supervisors I have ever had. She handles a lot on a day-to-day basis. She not only oversees the Kankakee Cardiopulmonary Rehab location, but she also oversees our Bourbonnais location as well. She does all this while working on opening a location in Watseka as well. Along with that, she ensures that her staff is well informed of everything going on while encouraging them to give the very best care to our patients. I feel I can go to her with any concern that I may have, either work or personal, and she's willing to listen. No matter what, she's willing to help in any way that she can. She advocates for our department quite a bit to help anyone she comes in contact with understand what it is we do. She does this also to make sure our department and staff have what we need to grow and change. Amy always has the best interest of the staff and our patients in everything she does. Amy, thank you for all that you do. I not only see you as a leader, but a friend.

Amy is an exceptional asset to the Riverside Healthcare organization. She is passionate about her patients, team, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program. She is forward-thinking, highly organized, a genuine leader, and a great nurse. Amy's interest in continually learning and growing within the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation field is inspiring. She thinks big picture and brings ideas from her organizational memberships to our department to continue to build our program. She is a member of the AACVPR, holds certifications for both cardiac rehab professional and pulmonary rehab professional and is a committee member for ISCHR. She has participated in learning events both at Riverside and at conferences sponsored by AACVPR and ISCHR.

Amy has been actively participating in the Illinois chapter of the cardiopulmonary rehab professionals board for the last 6 months in order to network with other leaders in this field so that at Riverside, we can continue to improve on patient care and stay up to date with evidence-based practice. In addition to her professional development and growth of our programs, Amy has also maintained AACVPR accreditation for our department for the past four years. Amy has been instrumental in the expansion of our cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program to the Bourbonnais market and future growth in the Watseka and Coal City markets. She also partnered with our marketing department on a home exercise video project accessible by scanning a QR code on a card patients receive when enrolled in the program.

In 2023, she brought forward an artificial intelligence software that improves access and streamlines staff workflows and quality of care for our cardiopulmonary rehab patients that will be going live in 2024. Additionally, she has gone above and beyond to maintain operations and high employee engagement through a time of significant change and expansion. For the 2022 and 2023 Employee Engagement Surveys, Amy's team scored at Tier 1, which was the highest out of the departments under our service line. Amy does a wonderful job communicating and setting expectations. She goes above and beyond to make sure that her team is well supported. She recently implemented Staff Expectations that are department-focused in order to allow all staff to feel engaged and accountable. She also implemented a weekly huddle board that informs staff of current and upcoming quality improvement projects as well as encouraging individual ownership of improvement opportunities. Amy is an exceptional leader and a wonderful nurse. She is a great candidate for the DAISY Nurae Leader Award. Thank you, Amy, for all you do!
