My mother was in hospice. When she was put in the hospice room, she was unresponsive from severe strokes. She was 95 years old and had always been so independent. Her daytime nurse, Haley Shinault, was excellent and treated my mother with exceptional care. Every time she checked on her, she put Chapstick on her dry lips and would also put lotion on her legs, feet and arms. My mother was never neglected. Besides taking care of my mother, the family was well taken care of. Haley never failed to ask any of us if we needed anything, even if it was only a bottle of water. She is a very caring nurse and takes special care of her patients. My mother later passed away, but Haley had already ended her shift. Before she left that day, she let us know how sorry she was due to this expected outcome. Haley is an asset to your facility.
