My dad was in and out of the hospital, always Methodist West, for a year. The care teams were always good but this past time, my dad's final stay, was exceptional because of Yolorna Causing on floor 5 east. It was her attention to all of the details - medical, comfort, and even next steps after my dad passed - that I found exemplary. She treated my dad as if he were her family. She was diligent about checking on him, moving or adjusting him in the bed, and keeping up with his medications. But the last day, when his end was near, she was equally as concerned for me. With the time I have spent at Methodist West, I can say everyone is capable and compassionate, but Yona's capabilities and compassion are exemplary. And that is what we all want for our loved ones - we want excellence in medicine, but we want our loved ones treated as if they are family until the end.
