When Manon cared for him, he would communicate and express that he felt safe and not scared. She formed a relationship with my son, for which I will always be grateful.
My son is autistic and struggles with communication. While he was hospitalized, Manon’s nurturing and positive care towards my son put him at ease with all the pain and discomfort he was enduring. Manon’s compassion made him smile, and he felt comfortable expressing his needs and gratitude to them. I've never seen my son communicate so well with a medical professional. Manon was able to make every exhausting and painful moment he was going through as comforting as possible. She also tried to help make his stay fun, as a child would rather be playing, than hospitalized. She brought him Play-Doh and would take him to the toy room to pick out what he wanted to play with. When Manon cared for him, he would communicate and express that he felt safe and not scared. She formed a relationship with my son, for which I will always be grateful. She was so supportive and genuinely kind. Manon made this terrifying illness not frightening for my little boy.
