Sharon is universally loved and respected by her employees and is known for advocating for her staff. While there are countless incidents that qualify Sharon for this award, the most recent was the addition of a weekend Endoscopy Team. She made sure that the staff’s voices were heard by providing an open environment to discuss the changes. We knew that our manager was paying attention to the situation and discussing it with her colleagues in an effort to find ways to implement the program with as little stress on staff as possible. While I know that this was a collaborative effort between departments to orchestrate, I appreciate Sharon for always providing an open and safe environment for discussions and action. I know that Sharon will always advocate for her staff and the safety of our patients. I am truly thankful to work for a Nurse Leader who is not only responsive but demonstrates dedication and compassion to the ministry.
