When Sandy B. is my nurse, I feel 100% safer without any worries when she is taking care of me.
I have spent, on and off, more than a month in the oncology care wing. I have been under the care of at least 10 different nurses. Some of them more than once. Even though they were all excellent care providers, there is always one that excels and goes beyond the basic duty of nursing care. To me, that person has to be Sandy B. Every time I leave the room for some tests and come back, my bedding is changed, and my iPhone and iPod are on charger being charged. Of course, I don’t expect anybody to do that, but it gets noticed. Makes me feel that I am more than just a patient, I am a person.

She uses common sense behind her medical knowledge to rely on. I think that is what every patient would love to experience. She goes over every single medication and teaches me about its use and side effects. She checks my blood pressure and heart rate before she gives me medication and, based on the numbers, determines if I need it. When Sandy B. is my nurse, I feel 100% safer without any worries when she is taking care of me. Sandy is a Magnet nurse and made me feel extra special and safe. God Bless her. Thank you.
