Kristine's organized thinking and leadership qualities made the floor safe for all.
Nursing is one of the most noble professions, where a nurse can make an enormous difference in a patient’s life. Kristine is one of those nurses who constantly demonstrates excellence through her clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. Her critical thinking, positive attitude, and effective leadership skills create a safe and healing environment for other nurses, patients, and families. I am glad to nominate her for the DAISY Award for going above and beyond.

At the end of November, Kristine received a patient who had a couple cardiac arrests and was on three different pressors including other multiple drips. Kristine set up extraordinary family-oriented compassionate care for that patient and the patient’s family. She provided exemplary care to her patient to make her hemodynamically stable. Her effective communication with doctors, pharmacy and lab made a strong and positive attitude regarding healthcare in front of the patient’s family. Kristine was able to make an enormous difference in their lives.

Kristine demonstrated another example of her critical thinking and leadership quality in December. She started her shift with 4 patients in ICU and was assigned for rapid responses. Her critical thinking and delegation of work were remarkable. She started transferring her patients to different units immediately and received one of the most critically ill patients. Her organized thinking and leadership qualities made the floor safe for all.

Besides her patient-centered care, she is a great resource for the ICU. Her positive attitude and offers to help others make an enormous difference.
