This educator exemplifies all of the attributes of a DAISY Award and more. They always make themselves available to students even though they have a lot going on outside of school, meeting students after class and on Zoom to answer any and all questions. They encourage students to stay curious and look further into things with critical thinking always! The enthusiasm they have for teaching and nursing is shown in every class period. They never make students feel stupid for getting questions wrong and instill confidence in their students by asking students questions to further their understanding. They have motivated and inspired me to learn more than I ever thought I could! They never show any favoritism towards any students and show respect and patience with every single student. When an instructor called out sick last minute in Winston Salem, they drove to the hospital to be our clinical instructor for the day so we wouldn’t have to make it up, this is just one of the ways they have shown they care for their students. They have been an inspiration to me and to so many students!
