Christina possesses a remarkable talent for fostering meaningful connections with her students.
Christina's spirit and energy are a great match for exemplifying the criteria listed for this honor. Her passion for teaching shines through with each lesson that she provides. It is clear she tries new techniques to keep the class engaged and is always striving to find the best ways to enhance the education of the students in the program. Christina was faculty for my Labor and Delivery rotation, which was the clinical opportunity I was the most apprehensive about. She went out of her way to make me feel more comfortable before we started the rotation, and advocated for my assignment to be paired with the best learning opportunities to match my future nursing goals. She gave me the space to work as a nurse independently but always made herself available to know I had the support if I needed it.

Christina has consistently shown support, dedication, and excitement for me and my cohort members. Not only was she interested in teaching us the material, but she also made a point of incorporating application into her lectures and teachings, further enhancing our education. I had the opportunity to have Christina as both a clinical instructor, professor, and faculty liaison for my summer preceptorship and capstone. Her concern for her students extends beyond the classroom. She cared about the nurses we were going to be, and made a point about learning about her students beyond the classroom.

Christina possesses a remarkable talent for fostering meaningful connections with her students. Her unwavering dedication to the success of each individual is evident through her tireless efforts to ensure a thorough grasp of the material and its practical application. It has been both an honor and a privilege to learn under Christina's guidance.

Note: This is Christina's 2nd DAISY Award!
