Juanita took care of my husband in rehab. He was here after a stroke. Juanita is small in stature but huge in her care. She would sit down at the dining table with my husband and have one on one conversations with him. She took the time and that meant a lot to us both. My husband was depressed over his health situation. Juanita could not have been more encouraging with him. She acted like he was the only patient she had when he was in her care. Many nurses come in the room and are in a hurry to leave. Juanita isn't like that. She makes sure we both have everything we need before she steps out. When your loved one is sick, you can hardly remember everything that doctors, nurses, therapists are all throwing at you all at once. Juanita took the time to explain everything to us even if she already had. She was patient with us. It isn't enough that she has to care for all her patients, but she teaches and trains the new staff too. She told us how long she has been a nurse and you cannot deny this is her passion.
