There are so many unknowns during the labor process and Amy was always so calm and patient and attentive in managing my labor.
Amy was so attentive the moment she walked in our room at 7am. Her goal was to get to meet our baby girl, which we did not know at the time. And she did just that. There are so many unknowns during the labor process and Amy was always so calm and patient and attentive in managing my labor. She not only supported me with pain management options but was constantly using position changes even after I had gotten the epidural to make sure labor continued to progress. She also involved my husband which helped keep us both at ease. Amy was at my bedside for a majority of her shift, As 5:00 pm was approaching I began to get anxious that we wouldn't have our baby before it was time for Amy's shift to be over. She had put in so much work to progress labor for us and I really wanted her to be there until the end. Luckily when our midwife came in around 5:30, it was time for us to start pushing .We welcomed our baby girl at 6:03 pm and words cannot express how grateful we are for Amy that day. My husband and I were so apprehensive that I may not be able to deliver naturally and need a C-section, but Amy didn't give up on us. We are forever grateful for all of the time and effort Amy put in with us to have a safe delivery. Amy is truly an exceptional nurse and it goes to show how much commitment she puts towards her patient's care.
