He not only supported me physically but, most importantly, mentally since I was having such a horrible time.
It’s been a long journey in the hospital. The team who helped me were incredibly caring, but one of them was BEYOND wonderful to me. I had a liver resection. It was a really difficult time. The only thing I could feel was pain. Oscar was with me the night I considered the worst of my life. Even if I was in so much pain, I still remember how loving, caring, and supportive he was. One time I remember someone from the labs couldn’t find my vein and the only thing I could do was cry in pain and ask him to stop but Oscar came up to me hold my hand, give me some cheerful words so I could feel peace through the process as it happened really quick after that. Every time I woke up crying in pain he was in my room like a real angel to give me medicine, I don’t even remember having a tech that night that’s how attentive he was with me. He not only supported me physically but, most importantly, mentally since I was having such a horrible time. After getting a little bit better, we could talk about personal things such as family, work, and life in general, which made me admire him way more, knowing how passionate he is about taking care of and helping others as a nurse. He definitely helped me feel safe and at peace during such a hard moment, and that’s why I want to say THANK YOU to my angel, Oscar! For making such a bad memory less painful in my heart.
