Our first son was born prematurely at only 26 weeks. He was immediately taken to the NICU and cared for by many amazing nurses, but Sherry always stood out. After a traumatic hospital stay for myself, she made being a NICU parent a little bit easier. She treated our family like her own and constantly cared for us as a whole and not just our son B. Not only was her care and bedside manner excellent, but she was also excellent at her job. I never felt an ounce of doubt or worry that my son was getting the absolute best care when he was with Sherry.

The part that truly made me realize that B was not just a patient to her was when he passed. Sherry was not scheduled to work that night, but when she heard that we were transitioning to comfort care, she immediately came to the hospital to be with us as we held our baby boy for the last time. She took photos and held us as we cried. Our family took so much comfort in having her with us. She continues to keep in touch and reach out even when she doesn’t have to. Thank you, Sherry, for truly loving our family and caring for our son when we needed it most!
