she just knew what I needed and was so precious and kind throughout the entire process
My experience with Anna Taylor began when my sweet husband was leaving this earth and going to spend eternity in Heaven. That morning, as I entered the Intensive Care Unit where my husband was, I was greeted by the most loving and caring nurse, Anna Taylor, who introduced herself to me and immediately shared with me how sorry she was about what I was going through. She then asked me if I had any questions and shared information that I may experience that day.
Obviously, this was to be one of the hardest days of my life...losing the love of my life!
I can tell you that although I had family and a dear friend with me at times throughout the day, I would have never made it through that day without Anna Taylor. She was a constant support not only for my sweet husband, but also for me. As she watched vitals, administered medications, charted what was going on and did everything for my husband, she just knew what I needed and was so precious and kind throughout the entire process of my sweet husband's passing.
Fast forward to Mother's Day. My sweet 94-year-old mother has been in the hospital since she fell and broke her hip. When I walked into her room on the 5th floor PCU, I met her nurse, Anna. She looked very familiar to me, but I could not place how I knew her. After being at the hospital for some time with my mother that day, Anna said the same to me. She asked me if I had ever had someone in NSF in ICU. I immediately said yes, my husband had passed away in August. We both immediately knew the situation. She said, "I was his nurse that day, I remember you well." She asked if she could give me a hug. Of course!
I do not believe that on Mother's Day, of all days, they would randomly place Anna in the PCU and she would be my momma’s nurse! This is too coincidental! Anna, just like she did with my husband, gave my sweet mother the best of care and was so gentle and kind with her. She, once again, was able to answer questions for me and give me information that I should know.
She is very knowledgeable and very compassionate in her care.
She is definitely one of the high achievers at such a young age. She will continue to be one of those who makes a valuable difference for a long time to come.
