Michelle was really knowledgeable and could answer everything.
I met Michelle at the midwife-led unit at L & D Hospital, and she stayed with me when I transferred to the Consultant-led room. I was in labor with my 1st baby. I was feeling prepared for the birth however my birth preferences changed rapidly as the reality of labour hit me.
Michelle responded with complete sensitivity and support and adapted our plan quickly. As we changed from the midwife-led room to the consultant-led one, Michelle explained everything really clearly and simply, including the epidural and the monitoring. We also discussed the rationale for the injection for a managed placenta delivery. I was given all the information I needed to decide whether I wanted the injection or not.
Michelle was really knowledgeable and could answer everything. My husband and I want to thank Michelle from the bottom of our hearts for making us feel at ease and being such brilliant company for the first part of our hospital experience (before she ended her shift and we got a new midwife.)
We were also happy to see Michelle again when she returned to work the next day, as we were still at the hospital. Seeing a familiar friendly face was lovely – especially as the labor progressed in an unexpected ‘emergency’ way. We needed comfort and found it in Michelle.
