Beth is exceptional at her profession and all that it embodies with patient care and should be recognized for her efforts.
During our beloved father’s recent stay at Beverly Hospital, one nurse stood out with exceptional care for both the patient and the family during the many days of his stay: Beth Caserta. Her level of compassion and professional care for our father was exhibited day in and day out…she was his guardian angel, attending to his needs with both passion and understanding.
If something was needed to make my father more comfortable, Beth went above and beyond to provide him with that high level of care that only an exceptional nurse can provide. Beth was highly attentive to the needs of the many family members who were there for him during his stay, always asking if she could do anything to make us more comfortable during very troubling times. She arranged for extra seats, had snacks and refreshments sent to the room, and ensured that we all knew she was there for us at any time, checking in with us constantly and asking how we were doing; this comforted the family greatly. Beth would follow up on my father's care when she took over a shift and when she was leaving. She made sure he had everything he needed for his comfort and care and made sure to communicate his and the family’s needs to the incoming nursing shifts. She works seamlessly with the nurses and staff on J6. It was clear she is a very important part of the team, providing exemplary, empathetic, and professional care. If something needed to get done, Beth made sure it happened. The family cannot convey its appreciation enough for the professionalism and real human kindness shown by Beth during his stay. What an asset she is to both Beverly Hospital and to the nursing vocation.

Beth is exceptional at her profession and all that it embodies with patient care and should be recognized for her efforts. I want to add that I also witnessed firsthand Beth's kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness in caring for both the patient and the many family members who were present throughout his stay. She cared for the family the same way she cared for him. Not one of our questions or requests was denied. It was clear that she's been doing this for a long time and yet does not take a single day for granted. She was such a comforting presence for the family during a very sad and confusing time. Beth is who I would want to take care of me and my family. I also noticed that she already had a DAISY pin on her badge, and I was not at all surprised. I will remember her for a long time. She's truly special.
Thanks again!
Note: This is Beth's 2nd DAISY Award!
