I was so touched by Cristina's kindness and warmth that I asked her if I could hug her.
I was 40 weeks pregnant and scheduled for an 11 pm induction. I was very nervous as I had a history of childhood trauma and a bad experience during my last delivery. I expressed my nervousness to Cristina, who paused everything she did to sit and give me her full attention. She listened tentatively and assured me she would be gentle and make this experience as easy as possible. She went the extra step and assured me nothing was my fault and checked if a female doctor would be on staff during my stay. When it came time for the epidural, she held my hand and told me how great I was doing. I was so touched by Cristina's kindness and warmth that I asked her if I could hug her. Cristina went above and beyond for my mental health. She displayed kindness, courtesy, knowledge, patience, and understanding. She made me feel heard. She expressed genuine love and care for my mental and physical health.
Cristina went above and beyond with our labor experience. She comforted, helped, and provided great advice when my spouse was experiencing uncontrollable contractions. Cristina was there in a heartbeat anytime we needed her. She listened to the birth plan and was able to adapt to our circumstances even when things went wrong. Cristina is a great asset to this hospital.
