I had the pleasure of meeting nurse Taylor Escamilla, a surgery and recovery nurse at your hospital. I was having a complete left knee replacement. Nurse Taylor showed complete professionalism and compassion. I was quite nervous, but nurse Taylor showed compassion and understanding and explained in detail what was going to happen in my surgery and what to expect when I arrived at recovery. When I woke in recovery, I was so happy to see nurse Taylor standing at my side and bringing me out of the foggy feeling I was experiencing from the anesthesia. Nurse Taylor and I shared funny stories about my wife working at the hospital, and once again, it made me feel very confident in her ability as a nurse and trust her. She stayed at my side until I was brought back to my room. Of all the nurses who cared for me, nurse Taylor rose far above and stood out in her skill, compassion, and commitment to me as her patient.
