My elderly aunt had a very long and serious surgery at PRMC. When she, after 2 weeks in ICU, was moved to MedSurg floor, Angelica was one of her nurses. We knew that Angelica was special on the very first day. She introduced herself, spoke clearly and respectfully, made eye contact.. and it was obvious she knew what to do and wanted to be there. She gave information, listened attentively, and assessed gently and thoroughly, and her caring heart shined like a beacon. Not one time did she seem as busy as the medical floor is; Angelica never rushed in or complained about her heavy load load, or about how many more hours she had left, or any of the things that make patients feel like they are a burden. Angelica's attitude was more like, "You are my job. I want to take care of you. How can I help?" She was amazing, personified. If you could clone a nurse, clone Angelica so that more people in the Clovis area hear our chant. The chant of our whole family: "Don't go out of town; stay at PRMC." Please thank her for us.
