Flora is very professional and does her job over and above for the residents that she cares for. She has grown up around this community and knows a lot of people and treats everyone with respect and like they are her own family. I was a new nurse when I started here at the Christian Home, and I have had the pleasure to learn a lot from her years of nurse knowledge. She is always willing to help teach you how things need to be in a caring manner. With her longevity that she has here at the Christian Home, families that she has taken care of loved ones continue to talk outside of here in the community how wonderful of a nurse she was when their loved one was here. She has been mentioned in obituaries about the exceptional care that she has given their loved one while here. When her residents have something going on medically, she will be their biggest advocate to work with the MD to get the best outcome for her resident and she will not stop until she does everything she can for them. Every employee that works with Flora has said only amazing things about her work ethic and leadership. When she is working a wing, everything is under control, and she is well aware what is going on in her wing. Flora has been with the Christian Home for 34 years. She has always come to work with a smile on her face and you know that she is here for the residents for as long as she is here. She is a very well-known person throughout the community and knows a lot of people. She cares for her residents like they are her own family. She goes above and beyond to do what is best for the residents. Families have made the comment that they know their loved one is being cared for when Flora is working. Her aides and management team have a lot of respect for her and her knowledge. She is very deserving of this award due to the above and beyond work that she does for her patients and staff.
