Kayla is the most dedicated, self-motivated, beautiful person and great mentor I have ever worked for. Kayla herself speaks and walks the core values. Now I ask myself, "Is there anything that Kayla is missing as a leader?" And my answer would be no. Kayla, no matter how busy she is, will always make time for staff, patients, and visitors with the utmost understanding, kindness, and compassion. She is an exceptional nurse leader and person. Kayla runs three units here at Samaritan Hospital on a daily basis and often runs all day long, making sure staff, patients, and floors are in 100% standing order, and she does it with integrity, poise, and grace. Kayla will make time for you no matter if it's a simple question you may have or in need of help, she will take time out for you with no questions asked and will help in any way she can. Kayla will often stop in and ask staff if everyone is good, if we are needing anything or just a simple hello.

I have seen Kayla often roll up her sleeves and help staff with patients, and the care she shows is incredible. She is always looking out for her patients and her staff for their safety and well-being and shows compassion towards families speaks volumes. She is one heck of a leader. Kayla really goes above and beyond in her daily tasks, no matter if it puts her behind on getting what she needs to get done, but if you ask Kayla, staff and patients will always be first. Kayla is often here really early and leaves really late to make sure the rest of her priorities are complete. Kayla shares updated information to all her floors, holds huddles for staff, makes sure we are all in the know, and will sit with you until you get it.
