I came to Chambersburg Hospital for suicidal thoughts. I could hardly go a few minutes without wanting/looking for ways to die. The doctor put me on a 1:1. A few days into my 1:1, Kim came on. She introduced herself to me right away, which, for some reason, comforted me. She made the 1:1 comfortable and made me feel safe at the hospital. She went above and beyond the call of duty. We played cards, we listened to music, we talked. She made me feel like a person. She is probably the best nurse I have met in the Psychiatric facility. She truly cares and tries to make her patients feel empowered and like they can overcome anything. She explained everything and helped me when I didn’t understand. Kim exemplifies what it means and takes to be a great nurse.
