Tina is kind, compassionate, caring, and understanding.
There isn’t one specific situation or story that we can think of that demonstrates the meaningful difference Tina made during our daughter M’s stay in the NICU. Her overall demeanor and the care that she provided not only to our daughter but to us as well is what set her apart from the other nurses.
Tina is kind, compassionate, caring, and understanding. She explained things to us clearly, validated our feelings, spoke to us like we were her peers, made sure we were able to hold our baby even with all the complicated wires and went above and beyond to make us comfortable.
What really blew us away was the time and care she put into making a sweet little booklet of all of M’s first-month milestones. Having your baby in the NICU is not what you envision as a first-time parent, and to know that someone there was celebrating the birth of your baby and their growth and progress with you, always made us happier in an unhappy situation.
Leaving night after night without M was really tough; however, knowing that Tina was on duty, even if she wasn’t assigned to our daughter, made us feel so much better. Tina made us feel like our daughter was loved, and cared for, when we couldn’t be the ones doing it.
Tina, from the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for your time, care, and commitment to not only taking care of our baby, but taking care of us as well. We are so appreciative, and forever grateful, that someone like you exists in this world, and was with us, during our NICU journey. You have a special place in our hearts forever.
