A patient came in with abdominal pain that needed to be seen. They had young babies that had just been born but needed to breastfeed. The patient also needed a CT with contrast. Mallory Ovist was able to pause the CT so the patient could pump and breastfeed, as the patient would need to wait 24 hours after contrast before, they could breastfeed again. The patient was able to pump and breastfeed babies as it had been 8 hours which brought a lot of relief. Mallory was also quick and efficient in getting the patient a breast milk pump to aid the patient and get the patient's babies fed quickly. Her quick thinking and attention to the needs of the patient and her babies show not only how much Mallory cares for people but also shows the compassion that is our ED as well.
