This nurse is amazing. Emilee made me feel like we were part of a team. She coached me on the situation, listened to my concerns, and was so compassionate regarding my needs. She helped me to feel like a human! I need open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve. I have spells of chest pain and, of course, stress. There is a rush on valve surgeries, so I need to stay here and wait. I am afraid but also ready to get it over. She has been so respectful of my insanity with the situation. She takes the time to explain to me why I am feeling the way I am. She encourages me to walk and order food. She is respectful of me when I can't catch my breath or am in pain and helps me to feel better. I tend to feel stupid and want to hide in situations like this.
