Nicole not only melted away my fears and anxiety about all my "firsts" with Grady but created a positive healing environment.
I was admitted to Grady at 8:30 pm on a Saturday with a new medical condition, all new staff, and a facility that I had not been to. My fears and anxiety level were high. That all changed when I met This RN. First impressions are everything.
As Nicole greeted my family and me with such warmth and care, some anxiety slowly melted away. This RN made me comfortable first, then showed me what they were all about: patient care. This RN was confident, professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I never once thought I was not valued. They shared how they thought the rest of the evening should go. Telling me what different staff members would be in and what they would be doing. They were quick to contact the doctor to ask for directions for different things they observed, and when one thing didn't work, they contacted the doctor again. They observed me both physically and mentally and made me feel they "had me"no matter what occurred.
I was very fortunate to have Nicole as my nurse for the time I spent at Grady. They not only melted away my fears and anxiety about all my "firsts" with Grady but created a positive healing environment. This RN is definitely a true healthcare professional who incorporates their pride, confidence, skill set, and compassion seriously to provide quality patient care.
