The unit has been taking care of a patient who has been admitted for 130 days. The complexity of the patient has been challenging for both the patient and the staff. Solina's caring and compassion brights up the patient's day every time the patient sees Solina. Today is the patient's birthday. Solina thought about it during her weekend off and bought a gift basket to present to the patient on their birthday. The unit will present the gift with a signed card from the staff and sing Happy Birthday. The patient has been through a lot and has been for months, at times the relationship between the patient and our staff can feel task oriented. Solina continues to provide care to the patient as a whole. Solina provides excellent care that makes the patient feel well taken care of and instills trust in her care.
