My husband was admitted to the hospital for a procedure. Chevel was the first shift nurse for my husband. Chevel is an amazing nurse and individual. She was pleasant, warm, and welcoming when she introduced herself as my husband's nurse. She is a true professional and has a sincere approach to what she does.
 
I have been on this medical journey with my husband since 2014, and he fully recovered and then suffered a stroke in 2021, which left him in the condition that he is now. I have encountered all types of medical staff, most of whom are not so friendly or compassionate. Whenever my husband is admitted to the hospital, I have lots of questions and concerns. Chevel was so very patient with me as I asked many questions and expressed concerns relating to my husband's care, medications, etc. Chevel addressed each concern with a smile, and if she did not have the answer right away, she made sure she connected with the proper person to get the answer and address my concerns. Chevel was very gentle and patient while caring for my husband.
 
My husband is nonverbal, and many times, medical staff do not tell him what care they are providing for him. My husband fully understands everything someone says and communicates with his eyes. Chevel was so patient with him each time she performed a task. She would talk to him and inform him what task she was about to perform. She would always greet him as a normal human being. This is very important to me. I appreciate the excellent care Chevel provided and hope she is recognized for her outstanding work and efforts.
