I met Caoimhe while she was caring for my father on Balmoral Ward 7. There is nothing outstanding in this story except to say that she exemplified good nursing and communication, which are at the heart of patient care. She listened to me and shared salient information.

My voice was valued, and she was professional, kind, and compassionate. It was obvious she cared about her job and patients. I guess you could argue she was doing her job. But she was doing it well and to a high standard. It's important that staff like this get recognized and acknowledged because she made a difference to me and our experience of having a loved one in the hospital. Thank you, Caoimhe.
