Valentyna Sabat is not only an amazing nurse but also a wonderful person. When I asked for this form, she immediately asked if I could write something for her PCT, who was also super because they were a team. Valentyna always checked in with us and monitored all of the pain medication. The goal has been to make my husband stronger and more confident post-surgery. I am thankful for her alternative to medication being offered, for example, when deciding if we should give him a muscle relaxer when he’s already so relaxed. She advised that we can hold off till he really needs it. That way, he has time to relax and maybe sit in his chair versus sitting in bed. She always encouraged my husband and said he would get better. It is apparent that this is not just a job for Valentina, she has a passion for what she does. She showed compassion and knowledge at all times. Also, during discharge, she took extra steps to make sure all of the paperwork was in place. We just can’t say enough good things about her. We are very appreciative of everything Valentina did for my husband.
