My daughter, T passed away in October while in the PICU after a long hard fight. Olivia stands out from all the other nurses we have encountered during our stay at Nemours Children's Health. I have never seen anyone love my daughter the way Olivia has; she has been on my heart every day since the passing of my daughter. As a mom it was comforting to witness my 3-year-old be loved and cared for by a stranger who went above and beyond. As a provider, she deserves the world. She made my daughter's final days memorable. Because of Olivia, I was able to hold my daughter before she passed. I will thank her for the rest of my life for allowing my final days with my daughter to be so calm and memorable. She made her feel loved, safe, and comfortable. Olivia made such an impact that she was mentioned in my speech at my daughter’s funeral. I’ve never seen someone do their job quite like her, you can tell nursing is made for her, God made her for this. She deserves this DAISY more than anything or anyone. No one is more deserving than her.
