I had been suffering and really struggling at home alone and unable to properly care for myself or dwelling. Due to my physical and physiological medical ailments, I hadn't washed in 2 weeks. Before that, every two weeks. I had to keep my hair in the same braid and wash it 3 times. My hair is very long. It was awful. Sydney, without asking, got the brush and told me she was going to help me comb it. Between her duties and over more than one shift, she spent about 2 hours or more kindly, humbly, patiently, carefully brushing through my hair and many, many knots and setting me up for bathing. She got my spirits on a higher level and made me feel better in many ways during her care for me. I felt safe under her skilled, knowledgeable, genuine care and good spirit of service. She is everything that a nurse should exemplify with all her great traits and characteristics. You have a valuable nurse. Thank you for employing her. She is a very good nurse to represent your facility. A true leader.
