Tonya was on the way to a doctor's appointment. While en route, she came upon a serious tractor/truck accident as one of the first to arrive before EMS or any other healthcare providers. Tonya stopped to help the tractor driver, who had been injured. She stayed with him, supporting his neck until EMS arrived and were able to transport him to a tertiary care center.

The driver's daughter recently sent a card saying, "You stopped at a tractor/truck accident. The guy in the tractor was my dad. He said you immediately went to him and supported his neck until the EMS arrived. There was so much going on and you stopped to help. We found out later that evening that he had C5-6 & C6-7 fractures as well as ligament damage. He had to have surgery to fuse his spine from C3-T2. The neurosurgeon told us multiple times most patients who present with this injury have some paralysis-and he had none! I truly believe he survived the accident because of your quick thinking and actions at the accident site! There is no way to express how absolutely grateful I am to you! God Bless you! Thank you doesn’t even come close to covering what you did. I’m not sure if you know the impact you had on my dad and therefore our family. Thank you so much."

Tonya is someone who goes above and beyond on a daily basis for anyone who crosses her path. My staff and I are better people and very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Tonya and to count her among our circle of friends and loved ones!
