My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer last summer.  This has been the hardest, scariest time of our entire lives.  Jamie has been there from the first biopsy to her port-a-cath insertion to her drain insertion.  Always receiving us with a smile and taking the time to return phone calls personally and promptly.  She has a way about her, so compassionate, and she made my mom and I feel at ease.  I feel like she cares for my mom as though she were part of her family.  The attention to detail, even little things like making sure she has nausea medicine with procedures because she knows mom’s sensitive to anesthesia, is what makes her so special.  Jamie and her team in IR has been so flexible helping get my mom in quickly when she needed an extra paracentesis, contacting the doctor, and helping guide us through this scary and confusing time.  Always cracking jokes before procedures to put mom at ease and doing everything possible to control her pain.  I would like Jamie to know how much she impacted us and helped us maintain hope and keep our faith.  She is truly a special person, a skilled professional and an overall genuinely caring soul.  She does her job well and we believe she should be recognized for this.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
