She is very easy to talk to about the way I am feeling, and she offers support to me and my family. I feel like we were just having a conversation instead of being asked questions.
I have only had the opportunity twice to have Tori as my nurse. I wish I could request her every time I have an infusion. I have been a Levine Cancer Institute patient since my multiple myeloma diagnosis in January 2021. Tori, gives her all, she is always present, never just going through the motions to start an infusion, she makes you feel like you are her only patient, and you know you are not! She is very easy to talk to about the way I am feeling, and she offers support to me and my family. I feel like we were just having a conversation instead of being asked questions. I am her priority; she takes her time ensuring she has a good vein before she pokes me. She offers opportunities to ask questions, and she does not appear to be in a rush when answering. She has an innate ability to know my needs and will provide a beverage or warm blankets before I ask. Tori is spot on, quick to jump to her feet if my monitor begins beeping. Really, if anyone's monitor begins to beep, her patient or not, she is there for the patient to make adjustments or finish up an infusion and flush the line. She is an excellent communicator, caring nurse who needs to be recognized for going above and beyond. LCI has been great with my different cancer treatments, there are a few nurses who stand out to me and family. Tori is one of them and should be used as an example of how to model behaviors.
