When my husband and I entered the ER, we thought we were just being cautious. He woke up with chest pains, but he is only 37 years old. His age did not matter one bit when we entered the ER. He said he was having chest pains, and the team immediately jumped into action. It was determined that he was having a heart attack. While I was falling apart and he was in shock trying to comprehend that our worst fear was exactly what was happening, Andriena Costello never lost composure. She continued to work quickly and gave him everything he needed. The ER visit, as a whole, is a blur of emotions and fear, but what I do remember is how Andriena worked. It amazes me how knowledgeable she is to know exactly what to do, how composed she is to do it quickly while maintaining a contagious calmness, and how compassionate she is to not only help my husband but also to help me feel cared for. Andriena did not only help to save my husband’s life; she made sure everyone’s experience was the best that it could be. We will never forget how lucky we were to walk into that ER on what turned out to be the scariest day of our lives. Andriena went above and beyond, and we are forever grateful.
