Nurse Jessica has gone above and beyond to help me during my recovery. Whether it’s motivating me, helping my mom get the right supplies to help me walk, or making my life a bit brighter since I had a short moment of depression. She would make me smile after I would cry from pain, laugh whenever I saw her, and help me look forward to the next day. Most importantly, she kept inspiring me to keep fighting. She went out of her way for her patients and went above. With her bright smile and energy gleaming all over the room, Jessica said, “Things will get better, and I hope your next surgery goes well.” Jessica, overall, took me out of my dark moments when I would get so down or mad during my recovery. She helped me embrace this new current issue and the old ones. This unit is very lucky to have a nurse like her. She deserves this award. I am proud and honored that she was my nurse during my stay.
