She truly loves her job; she loves helping her team become the best advice nurses and the best versions of ourselves as human beings.
Almost 2 years ago, I came to AACC. It has been a tough transition for me to go from working on a team with patients in the urgent care setting to being an advice nurse working remotely. I have had moments during work where I felt isolated and questioned whether I made the right career choice. When the RN Manager became my manager about 4 months ago, she changed my perspective. Her positive, supportive presence was felt immediately in our first team huddle. I was skeptical at first because of how uplifting and genuine she seemed. I thought this was too good to be true. But as time went on, she continued to show kindness, and I realized she was being authentic. She truly loves her job; she loves helping her team become the best advice nurses and the best versions of ourselves as human beings. She exemplifies what it means to be a caring, compassionate nurse. She encourages us to be present for one another and to pursue our passions. She reminds us that being there for our family is important. She motivates and reinforces the "why" we do what we do as nurses- to provide quality care to our community. She's become a pillar for our team, and I can't thank her enough for the extraordinary work that she does.
