Dawn's dedication to her responsibilities, combined with her openness and willingness to listen, creates a positive working environment that fosters collaboration and success in our unit.
We are very fortunate to have Dawn as our manager. I cannot imagine how tough it is to manage both MSU and JRU. She is very involved with our unit. She always asks the staff if there is anything she can do for us. I'm always able to reach her (even on weekends). She often calls at the end of my shifts to see how it went. She truly cares for her staff. When we've had staffing issues she's treated us to food. She has even paid for clothes for an underprivileged patient with her own money. I'm sure there are other great things she has done for me and the staff, but that's what I can think of at the moment.

As a leader Dawn is dedicated with a strong work ethic. She's very knowledgeable & an excellent resource to her NSMs & staff. She's always available when needed.

I believe Dawn truly deserves the DAISY Nurse Leader Award; as our manager, she has been very passionate and compassionate. She has always been fair and unbiased. She goes above and beyond to make sure she is available to us whenever we need her guidance. We appreciate it when she gets us food and also souvenirs from her trips. She is thoughtful and considerate. She also tries diligently to set us up for success by making sure we have the knowledge and resources needed to provide high-quality patient care. Thank you for allowing us to give our input/feedback.

Dawn is very passionate about her work and is always there 24/7 if you have any questions. She is very proactive in providing her staff the equipment needed to do their job.

Dawn excels in her role by embodying qualities of hard work, approachability, and effective communication. She also demonstrated exceptional selflessness when she extended assistance to a patient in need without hesitation. She went out of her way and sacrificed her own time and resources. She provided our patient with a complete set of clothing, shoes, and a bag in replacement of his old untreated belongings so that this man could be accepted into a facility. This action truly reflects her selfless nature by going above and beyond her duties. She exemplified her commitment to prioritizing the well-being of others.

I would like to express my gratitude for Dawn's invaluable support and guidance as an educator.
Her leadership style is characterized by compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to see everyone thrive. This is along with her patience and willingness to always help. Her commitment to nurturing her staff's growth has not only positively impacted them but has also played a significant role in my own professional development. We have worked on many projects together and grown our own nursing staff with Nurse apprentices and New Nurse Residents.

Dawn has had the challenge of assuming leadership over multiple departments and has worked hard to earn their trust by being present, available, and approachable. Dawn is very dependable and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. She shows initiative in seeking solutions to problems and displays a commitment to the goals of her departments. Dawn consistently strives for excellence and has been working hard to change the culture and align her team. She is a valuable contributor to our organization and continues to exceed my expectations as a leader.
