When I was transferred from ICU to 3West, I was scared, tired, in tons of pain, and traumatized from the recent medical thing I had just endured. She walked into the room and demanded IVs be taken out, 2 in the arms and one in the leg. She asked me to explain what was going on. I told her what I was feeling, and she said to give her ten minutes tops, and she would have me more comfortable - and that she did. She said, "I have never had a patient leave AMA on me, and you won't be the first." She went above and beyond the entire two days I had her. She was outstanding! If there were more nurses like her, I feel like people would heal faster, knowing that someone is in your corner and believes in you. Morgan, this is the least I felt I could do for you. You are an amazing nurse and person. You treat patients like family, and you stop at nothing to get them (me) what they need. There are very few and far between like you anymore. Having worked in the healthcare system, I know how exhausting and how much time it takes away from your family. But you don't skip a beat. The first night I was here, you stayed an hour past your shift to tie up ends before you left. I know you do this job with your heart and not with a paycheck in mind. No words will ever express how much better you made me feel! I am forever grateful.
