Jessica is an amazing kind nurse from wound care. She’s been coming to my room every couple of days, sometimes daily to help treat my raw wounds from feeding tubes. They leak bile so it’s like acid on my skin and really hurts. She’s been keeping me calm while putting creams and wound pouches on and figuring out new things to try when they have had issues. She’s very knowledgeable in her field and explains everything she’s doing. It’s hard because I hurt all the time, but she calms me down. She’s a wonderful person, and her bedside manner is amazing. I have been able to sleep better when the pain is less because of her. In the hospital, it’s hard to keep our spirits up when we’re in pain daily, but after a few minutes with Jessica, I’m laughing, and the pain is less.
